Lauren Bellagamba
ERYT-500
Lauren is a long-time student of yoga, beginning her practice at the age of 15. She turned to a deeper exploration of yoga after she injured her knee while training for the Chicago Marathon in 2006. At the time a vigorous vinyasa practice allowed Lauren to connect to her body and mind in a way she had only previously achieved while running. After her father passed away in 2007, her practice evolved from a solely physical outlet into a healing source for her body, mind and spirit with the incorporation of meditation and various breathing techniques.
When Lauren completed her 200-hour teacher training it was truly an eye-opening and a life-changing experience. She discovered her life’s passion – teaching yoga. Lauren also has training in Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy, and continues to learn how yoga can be used to treat anxiety, depression and PTSD. She is currently in the process of completing her 500 YTT with Yoga Medicine.
Lauren believes the study of yoga can empower you on and off the mat. In the studio she strives to create an environment where you can explore and expand your physical body and inner awareness, cultivate mindfulness, and learn tools to self regulate and create calm within. Lauren’s classes are intention based and focus on alignment, strengthening and relaxation.
