Meher Siddiqi (she/her)

Though most people are attracted to yoga because it gives them flexibility, strength and balance, that is just the very tiny tip of the iceberg. Yoga in its essence means union – the ultimate connectivity – body, mind, soul and universe. Meher personifies this union, with her daily practices, meditation and sufi beliefs. With a lifelong yoga practice behind her, Meher’s journey to yoga began long before she took up the practice. Meher comes from a long line of vibrant women who believed anything is possible. Granddaughter of a yogini who practiced yoga till her dying day and sister of a practicing vedic astrologer, Meher’s practice is a complete experience which enables the body to get ready to receive the gift health and serenity. Meher refer’s to herself as a work in progress and focuses on her practice with meditations based on the writings of Roomi and Hafiz, to the philosophies of Socartes and Plato, and to the teaching of Mohammad, Yassu, Ram and Siddhartha. Such is her belief in her practice that when she was diagnosed with acute rheumatoid arthritis, she healed herself by following a strict yoga practice coupled with traditional ayurveda treatments. Meher brings her sufi soul, energized presence and almost uncanny Aquarius/Taurus led intuition into the mind-body-soul connection in her mature Yoga practice. Yoga with Meher is a holistic experience, giving you both strength and a balancing of energies, past and present, which you bring to the practice.
